In a patient aged 34 with lymphoblastic lymphoma lymphomatous infiltrations developed in the leptomeninges but were controlled with radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Recurrence of neurological signs after 7 months was recognized as relapse of lymphoma in the central nervous system, but in the brain extensive demyelination and necrotic changes were found. The authors relate the development of leucoencephalopathy to the hypersensitivity of the nervous tissue to chemotherapy after previous radiotherapy.
