[Follow-up monitoring of new inpatient cases of respiratory tuberculosis].

The optimum time of a follow-up of new cases of respiratory tuberculosis in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is 3 years; by this time 91.8% of the patients may achieve a clinical recovery. Due to the climatic and geographic features of the region and to the logistic provision of tuberculosis dispensaries, the movement of patients by dispensary record groups by the regions is 0.5 year slower as compared with that in Yakutsk. The use of up-to-date computer technologies, such as personified monitoring and e-mail, promotes the optimization and improvement of centralized control and management.
