The article examines medieval medicine from the point of view of the daily lives of the citizens of Wrocław. The author describes the conditions of daily life, in other words living conditions, personal hygiene, food and surroundings, often influenced by fundamental calamities, the climate, and medieval ideology, among which one can include asceticism, astrology, alchemy, magic and superstition, factors which affected the health of the medieval population. Next, she discusses methods of combating common illnesses, especially infections, in other worlds medieval preventive medicine and therapy, as well as the training and work of physicians and the development of medieval medical science in Silesia.
本文从弗罗茨瓦夫市民日常生活的角度审视中世纪医学。作者描述了日常生活条件,即生活环境、个人卫生、饮食和周边环境,这些常常受到重大灾难、气候以及中世纪意识形态的影响,其中包括苦行主义、占星术、炼金术、魔法和迷信等,这些因素影响着中世纪人口的健康。接下来,她讨论了对抗常见疾病,尤其是传染病的方法,换句话说就是中世纪的预防医学和治疗方法,以及医生的培训和工作,还有西里西亚中世纪医学科学的发展。
