[Effect of betadine as a mucosa-disinfectant].

According to the previous data in the literature, the Betadine is an effective disinfectant in daily practice so its spreading is much desirable. The Betadine considerably decreases the oral flora. Its use may be advisable in case of dental and oral surgical interventions, before local anaesthesia, and in the perioperative period to support the oral hygiene.
