This investigation studied the disability attitudes of ten population subgroups including the general public, professionals, college and grade school students and disabled individuals. A total of 2576 subjects were tested in a seven-year period with one of three instruments. The results showed that a stable hierarchy of preference characterized these seemingly disparate groups.
