Abstract
The principles of osseointegration defined by Branemark are reviewed. The authors describe the otological applications of titanium implants: bone anchorage hearing aids (B.A.H.A.) and ear epitheses. Obtaining good results depends on the selection of the patients and the observance of a rigorous technique.
