The enlargements of the inner valve is achieved by dividing the upper lateral cartilages from the septum and the coverage of this defect by a flap from the cranial border of the lower lateral cartilages. The usefullness of the so-called low lateral osteotomy and the implantation of a cartilagegraft into the ala is stressed.
