[Psychosomatic aspects of extra-articular rheumatism].

The author discusses the psychosomatic aspects of certain extra-articular rheumatic pains. He distinguishes between cervical, dorsal, lumbar, and brachial psychosomatic pain on the basis of an understanding of the phenomena. Neurophysiological and anatomo-pathological correlations are discussed. On the basis of this knowledge of psychosomatic disease therapeutic ideas are put forward that are important both for the generalist and for the rheumatologist.
