[Diagnosis and clinical aspects of the cervicobrachial syndrome as seen by the rheumatologist (author's transl)].

Among the various diseases classified as cervicobrachial syndrome, from the rheumatological point of view rheumatic conditions of the soft parts such as periarthritis humeroscapularis, tendomyoses and insertion tendinoses are particularly important. Their exact clarification and differentiation from polymyalgia rheumatica and the rare polymyositis is also of great therapeutic significance. Moreover the rheumatologist is also frequently confronted with inflammatory and non-inflammatory conditions of the cervical vertebral column and the shoulder joint which may set up various disease symptoms. A whole series of affections come into consideration in the differential diagnosis and they are summarized in a table.
