Abstract
Despite pre-travel advice about food and water, traveler's diarrhea is the most common infectious disease problem for travelers to developing countries. New concepts of antimicrobial prophylaxis, combination treatment with antimicrobial and antimotility agents and even a new potential vaccine are reviewed.
