Two cases of traumatic retinal angiopathy (Purtscher's retinitis are described. Both have a different evolution and cause different damage, but conform to the characteristic retinal image caused by contusion. One case was due to thoracic compression without evident bone fracture, and eventually recovered normal vision, while the other has multiple bone fractures and ended in bilateral optic atrophy whith a marked visual deficit.
