[A way to improve the quality of compression anastomoses of the urethra in children].

The paper presents the analysis of compression anastomosis establishment in surgical treatment of children with posttraumatic strictures of the posterior urethra. It is noticed that quality of the anastomoses deteriorates with enlargement of the interpolated tissues layer. Anastomosis is suggested to be formed between submucous layers. The new variant was tried in experiment on 9 dogs and in 5 patients with posttraumatic urethral strictures. As a result of more advanced anastomoses the thickness of the interpolated tissues reduced 2-3-fold. The techniques of the above surgery are discussed as well as the advantages of the proposed submucous compression anastomosis in posttraumatic strictures of the posterior urethra.
