[The efficacy of clinical indices in determining periodontal status].

The accuracy and reproducibility of a number of clinical indices used in assessment of the status of periodontal tissues was evaluated in clinical examinations of 240 students. The Green-Vermillion index and the CDL periodontal index were found the most accurate and reproducible, their efficacies ranging within 86-97%.
