Abstract

Biological characteristics of 102 Proteus strains isolated from the water bodies is given. The strains studied were referred to Pr. mirabilis, more rarely to Pr. vulgaris; about half of the cultures deviated from these biological types by the signs of indol formation and maltose fermentation. Proteus of groups O3, O5, O13, O23, and O30 were revealed in studying the serological characteristics. All the cultures were polyresistant, nonbacteriocinogenic; most of them were sensitive to the wide colicine spectrum. One strain produced a cytopathogenic action on the tissue culture.

给出了从水体中分离出的102株变形杆菌菌株的生物学特性。所研究的菌株归为奇异变形杆菌,较少归为普通变形杆菌;约一半培养物在吲哚形成和麦芽糖发酵特征方面偏离这些生物学类型。在研究血清学特性时发现了O3、O5、O13、O23和O30群的变形杆菌。所有培养物均具有多重耐药性、不产生细菌素;其中大多数对广谱大肠杆菌素敏感。一株对组织培养产生细胞致病作用。
