With increasing use of the internet by patients, questions are being raised in the press and by professionals on whether members of the public may be harming themselves by gaining access to previously hidden material. A search of the literature from a variety of sources revealed that the evidence was conflicting. Because the internet is here to stay, it is suggested that health professionals use it in partnership with patients, at the same time acknowledging its pitfalls.
随着患者对互联网的使用日益增加,媒体和专业人士开始质疑公众获取以前隐藏的信息是否会对自身造成伤害。对来自各种来源的文献进行检索后发现,证据相互矛盾。鉴于互联网已成为现实,建议医疗专业人员与患者合作使用互联网,同时认识到其存在的问题。
