2 patients with textile contact dermatitis due to formaldehyde developed follicular, papular lesions. Histologically these papules showed eczematous changes in the follicular epidermis and mononuclear cell infiltrates in the dermis around the involved follicle. The skin between the papules was intact. It is suggested that the concept of "dermal" contact sensitivity does not fit for the explanation of papular dermatitis due to formaldehyde.
2例因甲醛导致的纺织物接触性皮炎患者出现毛囊性、丘疹性损害。组织学上，这些丘疹显示毛囊表皮有湿疹样改变，且在受累毛囊周围的真皮中有单核细胞浸润。丘疹之间的皮肤完好无损。提示“真皮”接触性敏感的概念并不适用于解释甲醛所致的丘疹性皮炎。
