The appearance of squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) in chronic scar lesions of various etiologies has been reported. Here we present a case of SCC developing in a Leishmania scar after 59 years.
An Iranian female presented with a SCC that arose when she was 3 years of age in a scar that was secondary to cutaneous Leishmania.
SCC should be included as a rare but late sequela of cutaneous Leishmania.
