Clinical manifestations of African AIDS.

AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome) is now the greatest cause of death in many African countries. Any traveller from sub-Saharan Africa may present with an AIDS-related condition. This article provides a brief introduction to the problems posed by AIDS and AIDS-related conditions and their recognition.
