This article examines the pediatric nursing research published in seven refereed nursing research journals and pediatric practice journals over the past decade. Of the 319 research articles published, 16.6% were intervention studies that evaluated the outcomes of nursing care. Concerns are raised and suggestions made to strengthen the practice-research-theory link in the nursing care of children and their families.
