A patient with inadequate descent of the ovaries is described; the tubes were abnormally long, as was demonstrated by hysterosalpingography. Various types of similar congenital abnormalities are discussed and their frequency indicated. The developmental background, clinical and radiological features and possibility of treatment are dealt with briefly.
