Abstract
A 41-year-old patient with mutilating rheumatoid arthritis and progressive systemic sclerosis, who developed a chronic myeloproliferative disorder polycythemia vera was observed. Some of the pathogenetic aspects of this case with special respect to the function abnormalities of peripheral blood polymorphonuclear cells are analyzed.
