Abstract

Residents on council estates in Bolton have got together to shop co-operatively to bulk-buy fresh fruit and vegetables more cheaply. CATH JACKSON talks to Steffie Price and Jane Sephton, the food and health advisers behind these practical schemes to help local people improve their diet.
