[Inpatient behavior therapy of depressed elderly patients].

Though cognitive-behavioral approaches have been shown to be suitable for and efficient in the treatment of depression in old age, they are not yet frequently applied with elderly patients. Our clinic has developed a concept for in-patient psychotherapy with older depressed people based on cognitive-behavioral methods. The theoretical foundations and practical implementation are described.
