Open biopsy and pleurectomy were performed in 2 cases of asbestos exposure with bloody pleural effusion. Pathological examination revealed marked proliferation of fibrous tissue containing tumor cells. The tumor was diagnosed as malignant pleural mesothelioma on the basis of histochemical staining and transmission electron microscopy. Almost complete excision of tumor tissue was performed, and malignant mesothelioma had not relapsed 10 and 12 months after the operation. We recommend open biopsy and pleurectomy for cases of exposure with bloody and intractable pleural effusion.
对2例有石棉接触史且伴有血性胸腔积液的患者进行了开放性活检和胸膜切除术。病理检查显示含有肿瘤细胞的纤维组织显著增生。根据组织化学染色和透射电子显微镜检查，该肿瘤被诊断为恶性胸膜间皮瘤。已对肿瘤组织进行了几乎完全切除，术后10个月和12个月恶性间皮瘤未复发。对于有血性和难治性胸腔积液的接触病例，我们建议进行开放性活检和胸膜切除术。
