Abstract
The review summarizes data on the nature of chronotropic properties of psychostimulants. Mechanisms underlying the ability of these drugs to shift the normal ratio in the rest--activity cycle toward wakeful phase and factors determining the dependence of the drug effect on the circadian variations of pharmacokinetics are considered.
