[Tourette's syndrome].

OBJECTIVE

To present a general view about update knowledge of Tourette's syndrome.

METHOD

There is reviewed the literature on the subject without presenting a personal series, and there are presented those reported in the literature.

CONCLUSIONS

Although there are a lot of studies that try to know the origin and nature of Tourette's syndrome, as well as the response of tics to the action of old and new drugs, it seems that we still have a long way to walk before finding solutions for the several diagnostic and therapeutic problems of this picture.
