Abstract

There is a growing abundance of literature on persons with HIV/AIDS who are coinfected with either hepatitis B or C virus. However, there is little published information on HIV-infected persons coinfected with both hepatitis B and C virus. This Case Report describes a patient with HIV infection and hepatitis B and C with biopsy-proven cirrhosis. The patient was successfully treated, achieving a sustained virologic response with respect to hepatitis C and seroconversion with respect to hepatitis B.
