Abstract

Percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) is a relatively recent but widely used technique. It is a safe procedure in experienced hands. Aneurysm formation at the site of angioplasty has rarely been recorded although the exact prevalence and natural history of the lesion is unknown. We review the literature and report a further three aneurysms complicating PTA in two patients.
