Abstract
The effects of an extract from adult liver on hepatoma cells cultivated in vitro (line H-35) are studied with cytological and quantitative cytochemical methods. This extract inhibits cell multiplication and premitotic DNA synthesis. The treated cells form "trabeculae" looking like those observed when normal adult hepatocytes are cultivated in vitro.
