Abstract
A 12-year-old girl presented with hemorrhaging at menarche and required multiple blood transfusions. She had a history of severe epistaxis. Bleeding studies indicated that the patient had type 1 von Willebrand's disease. Her three siblings were then screened and all tested positive for the disease.
