Abstract
Hydroceles of the testis were treated by aspiration and injection of the sclerosant solution polidocanol in 20 patients. Three patients had recurrences but otherwise the complication rate was nil. Injection of polidocanol is a promising treatment that should be investigated further for primary therapy of hydrocele of the testis. In contrast to some other agents this drug does not cause pain during or after the injection.

对20例睾丸鞘膜积液患者采用穿刺抽吸并注射硬化剂聚多卡醇进行治疗。3例患者复发，除此之外并发症发生率为零。注射聚多卡醇是一种有前景的治疗方法，应进一步研究用于睾丸鞘膜积液的初始治疗。与其他一些药物不同，这种药物在注射期间或注射后不会引起疼痛。
