A 38-year-old male was admitted due to severe chest pain. Echocardiography and CT revealed an acute dissecting aneurysm. Cabrol's operation was performed immediately in order to prevent a rupture of the ascending aortic aneurysm and the dissection extending to the heart. Intraoperative trans-esophageal echocardiography was useful to get detailed informations, such as an extent of the dissection and a site of the entry. He was discharged from hospital on 53rd day and returned to society.
