Now, we can prevent osteoporotic fractures by improvement of bone strength. It became clear that not only the increase of bone mineral density but also the improvement of bone quality are important factors for the mechanisms of preventing fractures. Measuring bone metabolism markers is contributing to evaluate bone quality. We presume SERM demonstrates a sustained fracture preventive effect through 4 yrs by normalizing the bone metabolism of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis.
现在,我们可以通过提高骨强度来预防骨质疏松性骨折。很明显,不仅骨矿物质密度的增加,而且骨质量的改善都是预防骨折机制的重要因素。测量骨代谢标志物有助于评估骨质量。我们推测,选择性雌激素受体调节剂(SERM)通过使患有骨质疏松症的绝经后妇女的骨代谢正常化,在4年的时间里都能持续发挥预防骨折的作用。
