Abstract

In conclusion, a carefully planned and timed surgical extirpation of the primary carcinoma of the penis should eliminate the possibility of local recurrence. The decision between partial or total amputation of the penis is based on the site and extent of the primary tumor. The decision must not compromise the goal of complete clearance of the primary tumor.
