Although there are more POC system choices, matching the right device to each clinician's role is a challenge. This article clarifies the uses of laptop or notebook computer, personal digital assistants (PDAs), telephony, or automated telehealth, suggesting ways these technologies can result in clinical efficiencies, care coordination, and regulatory compliance.
