[Variants of the involvement of the valves of the deep leg veins and the basic pathways of the transmission of vertical blood reflux into the superficial veins in varicose veins].

Based on an analysis of findings of retrograde phlebography, the authors distinguish 12 variants of alterations of profound vein valves of the leg and retrograde blood flow. Recommendations are given for choice of the method of operation.
