The purpose of this research project was to examine female to male transsexuals' (FTMs) experiences of accessing health care. This was accomplished by documenting and recording the experiences of five FTMs through the use of photography and interviews. It was hoped that such an inquiry would provide a starting point for future research about the health care needs of the transgender community, and document some of the health care needs of the FTM community that would lead to recommendations for policy changes and educating providers.
本研究项目的目的是考察女性向男性跨性别者（FTM）获得医疗保健的经历。这是通过运用摄影和访谈记录五名FTM的经历来实现的。希望这样的调查能够为未来关于跨性别群体医疗保健需求的研究提供一个起点，并记录FTM群体的一些医疗保健需求，从而为政策变革和教育医疗服务提供者提供建议。
