Intraoperative local chemotherapy was performed on patients with esophageal cancer, using oil bleomycin (oil BLM). Oil BLM was injected into the muscular layer of the thoracic esophagus to be resected, 2 ml (30 mg of BLM base) each near the anal and oral stumps of the esophagus. BLM concentrations in the regional lymph nodes which were determined were elevated, and the tumor tissue of the esophagus also showed high levels. The evidence has been recognized in this study that oil BLM which features lymphogenous transport and tissue accumulation spreads fast in the entire esophageal wall and is transported to and retained in the regional lymph nodes. Side effects from local administration of oil BLM or recurrence of cancer has not so far been observed. Judging from the results of this study, intraoperative local administration of oil BLM seems to be effective for adjuvant chemotherapy.
对食管癌患者进行术中局部化疗，使用油剂博来霉素（油剂BLM）。将油剂BLM注入待切除的胸段食管肌层，在食管肛门端和口腔端残端附近各注入2ml（含30mg博来霉素碱基）。所测定的区域淋巴结中博来霉素浓度升高，食管肿瘤组织也显示出高浓度。本研究已证实，具有淋巴源性运输和组织蓄积特性的油剂BLM在整个食管壁中扩散迅速，并被转运至区域淋巴结并留存其中。迄今为止，尚未观察到油剂BLM局部给药的副作用或癌症复发情况。从本研究结果判断，术中局部给予油剂BLM似乎对辅助化疗有效。
