[Intrathecal morphine administration for oral and maxillofacial malignomas].

The subcutaneous pump which administers morphine intraventricularly is an interesting, non-destructive alternative of medium-term pain therapy for patients suffering from incurable pain caused by a malignant tumor in the oropharyngeal region. The morphine pump even makes it possible to go through terminal stages of the malignant disease well-relieved and in the familiar environment at home.
