To describe a case of prominent corneal nerves observed in a patient after diagnosis of multiple myeloma.
Case report and literature review.
A 65-year-old woman with a history of multiple myeloma was referred for chronic epitheliopathy in the left eye. She was diagnosed with multiple myeloma 3 years before presentation and underwent treatment at that time. On examination, she was noted to have prominent corneal nerves bilaterally with absent corneal sensation.
Multiple myeloma caused prominent corneal nerves and reduced corneal sensitivity.
