Abstract

PURPOSE

To describe two- and five-year survival of patients with Stage I to III endometrial carcinoma and to identify prognostic factors.

STUDY DESIGN

Concurrent cohort study.

PATIENTS AND METHODS

Seventy-two patients were operated on by the same surgeon and followed up for at least two years. All the histopathological examinations were performed by the same pathologist. Survival was analyzed by the Kaplan-Meier method. Age, body mass index, tumor grade, myometrial invasion, histological type and stage were correlated with death.

RESULTS

Overall survival at two and five years was 90.2% and 81.4%, respectively. By bivariate analysis, FIGO stage, myometrial invasion, tumor grade, histology, adnexal and/or lymph node metastasis and age were significant predictors of death (p < 0.05). Multivariate analysis revealed significant associations with death: FIGO Stage III (p = 0.001), histological type other than endometrioid (p = 0.027) and age 70 or more (p = 0.04).

CONCLUSION

Endometrial carcinoma Stage III patients, histological types other than endometrioid and age 70 years or more are at significant risk for death.

72例患者由同一位外科医生进行手术,并随访至少两年。所有组织病理学检查均由同一位病理学家进行。采用Kaplan-Meier法分析生存率。将年龄、体重指数、肿瘤分级、肌层浸润、组织学类型和分期与死亡情况进行相关性分析。

结果

两年和五年的总生存率分别为90.2%和81.4%。通过双变量分析,国际妇产科联盟(FIGO)分期、肌层浸润、肿瘤分级、组织学、附件和/或淋巴结转移以及年龄是死亡的显著预测因素(p < 0.05)。多变量分析显示与死亡有显著关联的因素为:FIGOⅢ期(p = 0.001)、非子宫内膜样组织学类型(p = 0.027)以及年龄70岁及以上(p = 0.04)。

结论
