In this article, the author defines and discusses various concepts of consent in relation to organ transplantation. Beginning with the law of the Russian Federation, he highlights the benefits and shortcomings of basic provisions and parameters of consent in Russian law. The situation is some other countries is reviewed from a comparative aspect. With the object of making transplantation more widespread, liberal interpretations of the rules are to be encouraged.
