Abstract
Acute liver failure occurred in a 59-year-old man with congestive heart failure within 4 days of oral loading with amiodarone. Hepatic toxicity of amiodarone leads to 2 histologic pictures: pseudo-alcoholic hepatitis and phospholipoidosis. Immune mechanisms are possible in amiodarone hepatotoxicity.
