Nursing students require orientation to all healthcare facilities where they are assigned for clinical training. The coordination of orientation for the students is time consuming and labor intensive. Seven healthcare facilities and three universities collaborated to develop an online computer orientation program for all nursing students in the community. The program standardized the education content, decreased faculty instruction time, and facilitated the transition of nursing students into the clinical area.
