Abstract

A study was made of the influence of preliminary long-term heating on the state of the antioxidant system of erythrocytes after gamma-irradiation. The activity of antioxidant protection enzymes (catalase, superoxide dismutase, and glutathione peroxidase) in erythrocytes varied in different directions depending on the preliminary long-term overheating schedule and perhaps on the structure and intracellular localization of the enzyme.
