Abstract

The purified bacteriocin N5 produced by Clostridium perfringens BP6K inhibited simultaneously the syntheses of DNA, RNA and protein in sensitive cells, without DNA degradation. Bacteriocin N5 inhibited the accumulation of leucin and caused the exit of the previously accumulated amino acid. The effects of bacteriocin N5 are very similar to those observed for colicins E1, K, A and I.

产气荚膜梭菌BP6K产生的纯化细菌素N5可同时抑制敏感细胞中DNA、RNA和蛋白质的合成,且不会导致DNA降解。细菌素N5抑制亮氨酸的积累,并使先前积累的氨基酸排出。细菌素N5的作用与大肠杆菌素E1、K、A和I的作用非常相似。
