Abstract
On the basis of the authors' experiences and the data of the available literature Goetze's cerclage in the treatment of tibia fractures is discussed--as far as the authors know, this is the first report of this method in the Hungarian literature. On the basis of the authors' material, the method is very useful for the treatment of the long, spiral and oblique fractures of the leg.
