Abstract
After the administration of 500 muC of 3H-5-HT the mast cells were degranulated by 1500 IU of PO B. The grains were found within the follicular cells and in the vicinity and wall of the arterioles. These findings support both the direct and indirect (vascular) mechanism of action exerted by serotonin on the thyroid function.
