The percent of Pennsylvania children with dental and medical visits is one of the highest in the country. In some rankings of the health system performance, the state fares quite well in comparison with the performance of other states and the District of Columbia. However, while the state ranks favorably in some areas, it fares not so favorably in other rankings, which include personal behavior, community environment, public health policies and health outcomes.
