The pronator lock procedure offers an alternative to the treatment of chronic, symptomatic dorsal translation of the distal ulna in pronation. The porous Dacron tendon has been a useful adjunct and has obviated the need for free tendon grafts, intact tendon slips, or fascia lata in the construction of the radioulnar tether. Careful clinical and biomechanical evaluation of the technique and material is required and is currently under investigation.
